Rest is the training
Every adaptation happens in the recovery window, not the workout. The run is the debt; the rest is the payment. Skip the payment and the interest compounds.
The honest day
A rest day taken on purpose raises tomorrow's HRV. A rest day taken out of guilt raises nothing. The score tells you the difference, if you'll listen.
